Cues and Tags
Cues mark a moment in a package. Tags are colored labels you attach to cues and folders so related items are easier to spot.
Operators and administrators can create and edit cues and tags. Viewers can watch but cannot change them.
Create Tags
- Open Configuration → Tags.
- Enter a name and pick a color.
- Add the tag.
You can rename a tag, change its color, or delete it later. Deleting a tag removes it from cues and folders that used it.
Add a Cue
Cues belong to a package that is loaded on a channel.
- Select the channel on the Dashboard.
- Play to the moment you want to mark (or stay at the live playhead).
- Open the cue list on the channel card.
- Choose Add Cue.
The cue is created at the current position. You can add it with no name and edit it afterward.
Edit, seek, and delete
- Seek — Choose the play control on a cue to jump to that time.
- Edit — Set an optional name and attach tags.
- Delete — Remove the cue.
A package can hold up to 200 cues.
Cues stay with the package. They are not a substitute for a finished edit list, but they are useful for marking in/out points, problems, or moments to review while a recording is still running.
See Recording and Playback for where the cue list sits on the channel card.
Use Tags on Folders
Folder color comes from the first matching tag. Icons are chosen separately.
- In the library, hover a folder and choose edit.
- Click the folder icon to open the style picker.
- Choose an icon.
- Click one or more tag colors to apply them.
- Save the name (or leave it unchanged) to keep the style.
The trash folder always uses a red icon and cannot be restyled like a normal folder.
Typical Workflow
- Create a small set of tags you will actually reuse (for example Air, Hold, Problem).
- During a recording, add cues at important moments.
- After the fact, name the cues and tag them.
- Use folder tags so event or show folders match the same colors.
